The Quick Version:

I have always been drawn to adventure, challenge, complex issues and helping people and groups to uncover their own solutions and potential. While I began my career in the late 1980’s working in the natural environment – it was always the people component that fascinated and inspired me. I soon established a dubious reputation as getting the jobs ‘that no-one else wanted’, the projects that were in the ‘too hard basket’ due to the controversy and complexity (‘people issues’) that surrounded. For me, it was fertile ground for growth and I thrived where I was involved in helping groups to work together towards common ground and solutions. I drew from a range of skill sets to do this: facilitation, yoga and management psychology, coaching and best of all – the 'school of hard knocks'. One of my bigger lessons through all of this was that indivuduals have a desire to do their best, are doing it, and have all of the answers within them. At times it can help to have someone to add a different perspective or shine a light on those answers – this led me to establishing EVOLVE to offer innovative coaching and facilitation solutions within the business, public and community sectors.
