What is it?

Evolve Community Involvement helps Governments and organisations to involve people affected by decisions in the decision-making – achieving a solution that is better than expected, has support, can be implemented and is successful. An unexpected outcome is the development of long term and sustained relationships of integrity and credibility between your organisation and community/stakeholders.

Other terms for community involvement are 'Community Engagement', ‘Public Participation’, ‘Community Consultation’ and ‘Public Involvement’.

When to use it?

Are any of the following situations familiar?

You are conducting a participation program and:

• The issues are complex, there are numerous players and the expectations for the program seem unrealistic.
• The following complaints sound familiar: participation is inefficient, wastes precious time and resources, creates false expectations, and is irrational and elitist (you only hear the voice of the wealthy and well connected).
• You would love to work collaboratively to implement a program that is innovative, and where people both enjoy and are excited get involved.
• You wish to reach beyond the usual suspects (the ‘silent majority’, ‘screaming silents’, ‘non-players’, ‘once-bittens’ and ‘free riders’) and have a truly diverse cross-section of participants.

Then we will benefit from working together……
