NSW TELSTRA BEST OF BUSINESS AWARD FOR BUILDING COMMUNITIES WON BY INDIGENOUS BUSINESS INSPIRING ALLIES
When Aboriginal Elder, Aunty Munya Andrews, and Community Engagement Specialist, Carla Rogers, met in 2011 they knew they shared a common vision of a kinder and more inclusive Australia that celebrates First Nations people and wisdom.
Through their business Evolve Communities, they have developed a range of resources, books and programs to teach their practical 7 Steps to Reconciliation and Allyship™.
“First Nations peoples only account for about 3% of our population – it’s not practical for us to make the necessary changes on our own – we need the support of educated Allies to progress Reconciliation”, explains Aunty Munya.
Carla and Aunty Munya are delighted to have their work recognised with a Telstra Best of Business Award in the Building Communities category and look forward to meeting their fellow State winners at the Nationals in February.
They shared their good news on TikTok!
