Mel Armstrong is a proud First Nations Gomeroi Woman living on Awabakal Country in NSW and is the Founder & Director of Warranggal Dreaming Pty Ltd.

Mel’s skillset has many aspects, a Healer, Mentor, Advocate, Facilitator of the Traditional First Nations Women’s Spiritual Teachings, Cultural Awareness Training Facilitator and Author. 

With more than 17 years in the Mental Health, Health and Wellness industry, implementing holistic practice into her work there’s always been a passion for advocacy; employing a strength-based focus on trauma care, cultural safety, inclusive practice, understanding diversity, wellness, mental health, healing, recovery and the integration of change.

In 2022, Mel was a guest panelist and individual presenter at the National Indigenous Social and Emotional Wellbeing Forum in Darwin. Mel then presented to the Children’s Book Council of Australia about the published collaborative project incorporating healing, connection, identity and Aboriginal language into children’s stories. Later that year, Mel was invited to exhibit her family’s story in the Yellah Fellah cross cultural exhibition at the Manning Regional Gallery. 

In 2023, Mel completed her 3rd certificate in the Gamilaraay, Yuwaalaraay & Yuwaalayaay Languages and Culture, enhancing the connection from one world to another. 

As an Evolve Accredited Facilitator, she looks forward to sharing her love of  her culture and Evolve’s approach to Reconciliation and Allyship.
